Isla Yurt

'Isla', is a traditional 'Mongolian Ger' and is suitable for smaller families. Location is at the top of Oak Tree field adjacent to our Maia yurt and directly 'above' Abby yurt. Warmth comes from an internal wood burning stove, and outside there is a fire pit and picnic table for fireside dining.

Isla comfortably sleeps a family of 3 with a double bed and fold out chair/ futon bed (for a child), plus there is still room for inside for sitting and cooking. If you are a family of 4 please discuss suitability, we may be able to provide an additional child sized mattress, but age/ size will determine (charge will apply). Alternatively please see Maia Yurt (new this season).

There is no electricity to the yurts, and it is about 100m to the toilet/ showers (shared with the campsite). It would usually be possible to bring one extra tent to camp next to the yurt (campsite charge applies). Please discuss this with us at time of booking.

Cars may not be permanently parked beside the yurts but you can drive over to unload. There is a parking area at the side of Oak Tree field. For safety reasons you are requested not to drive to the yurts or across oak tree field after dark.

Isla is 'pet friendly' but only one dog may be accommodated. We will provide a 'cover' for the bed, but please ensure you clean your dog on entry, and protect furnishings. Dogs must be house-trained. Never leave your dog alone in the yurt. You must advise on time of booking, and max no. of dogs on site rules apply (see site policy page).

Low season midweek specials:

4 nights midweek £210, 3 nights £155

2 nights midweek only subject to there being late availability and at same price as a 2 night weekend.

Sorry no Sunday arrivals and no one night bookings at any time. Other periods may be available out of peak season, or at late notice, please ask.
