Pitches
All pitches are now pre-allocated.
Whist we will endeavour to fill requests, we cannot guarantee
you a specific pitch or area.
Noise & Nuisance
Hidden Spring is a quiet site in a
rural area, and we do have quite close neighbours – it is also
our family home. Minimal noise is expected between 10.00pm &
7.00am. No amplified music at any time, please respect your
neighbouring campers & ensure you are not a nuisance to others
on the site. Ball games may not be suitable at busy periods. No
ball games after 9pm or before 8am please. Intending partygoers,
drunks, those of a rowdy disposition – please look elsewhere.
Excess consumption of alcohol and associated behaviour will not
be tolerated.
Dogs
We like dogs and have two of our own
who have free run of the farm. The older (Fergus) is not always
welcoming to other canine visitors, the younger one (Marble) may
visit you – do not encourage her. For this reason we have a
limit of four dogs max on site at any time. Please advise us at
time of booking if you would like to bring your dog. Dogs are
not allowed in most of our pre-erected options. Please keep dogs
on a lead at all times on the site and clear up. Do not bring
your dog down to our house or shop/toilet areas, or tie up
outside. Do not leave your dog unattended on the site at any
time.
Children
Are very welcome, and there is a rustic
play area, plus a number of friendly animals. However this is a
working farm, so children MUST be properly supervised at all
times. DO NOT let your children feed or tease any of the animals
on site, or enter any of the machinery barns.
Cars & Parking
All vehicles on Oak Tree field must be
parked in the parking area to the side of the field, not by
tents or yurts/ tipi/ dome. This is for child & animal safety,
and to reduce the amount of mud! VWs must book onto Vineyard
field. Bookings for Vineyard field park with your pitch. We do
not have an extra charge for cars, but if have more than 1
vehicle per pitch you may be asked to park your ‘extra’ vehicle
on the lower parking area by reception.
Rubbish and Recycling
Hidden Spring is run
on sustainable grounds and we ask that all campers respect that
ethos and help to preserve the countryside for future
generations. To minimise environmental damage & landfill waste
please reduce & recycle.
We have provided you
with recycling bins – please use them, or take your rubbish
away!
Do not leave us your
broken deckchairs, airbeds etc.
Reduce – your
consumption & only bring what you need! Choose products that use
the minimum packaging. Buy local produce, there is a farm shop
within 5 min walk.
Recycle –
separate & recycle tins, glass, recyclable plastic bottles,
compostable waste & paper.
Re-Use –
choose reusable products instead of disposable products (i.e.
barbecues, mugs, cups & cutlery etc)
Groups
We are a small site and not suitable
for large groups, stag parties etc. Small groups of families and
couples are welcome. The usual limit would be approx. 8 people
(some children would usually be included in this number). Any
more than this would be subject to negotiation, and an
additional deposits/ guarantee may be requested.
